Free Little Library

What is the Little Free Library?

The Little Free Library movement was started by a man named Todd Bol in Hudson, Wisconsin, to honor his mother, a schoolteacher who loved reading. The movement has grown tremendously — This is just one of over 30,000 similar Little Free Libraries all over America!

The Friends of the Warren County Memorial Library is promoting Little Free Libraries in Warren County. Our first Little Free Library is located in The Colonial Lodge on Main Street in Warrenton. Businesses who would like to place a Little Free Library in their public areas can contact the Library at 252-257-4990 with their information, and a member of the Friends Board of Directors will contact them about placing a Library in their business.

Take a book, leave a book….

The materials in the Little Free Libraries are free for the taking. You may keep what you take, or you can return it, or you can return another book in its place. The books are placed free by the Friends of the Warren County Memorial Library from its stock of donated books in the Friends Bookstore (located in the Library).

Happy reading!
